As Frank Sinatra was touring Tommy Dorsey as a "boy band singer," Deborah's father, big band drummer Richard, toured with the Jimmy Dorsey Band, all setting the stage for her legacy. She went on later to entertain as house singer at the New York club, "Jilly's", Sinatra's friend and body guard, where Frank often frequented.

Deborah also appeared at New York and Las Vegas venues with many of Sinatra's friends such as Pete Barbutti, Buddy Rich, Jerry Lewis, Pat Cooper, Tommy Newsome, and Sammy Davis Jr.

Sinatra continues to be a musical influence and an inspiration for her one-woman show, Three Degrees of Sinatra.
